Work has been completed on the restoration of the graves of Henry Bolckow and John Vaughan in St. Cuthbert’s Churchyard, Marton.  Bolckow and Vaughan were two of Middlesbrough’s founding fathers.  However, their monuments had been in a derelict state for many years.  The works undertaken returned the graves to their former state, including reinstatement of railings and stonework.  An interpretation board and leaflet were produced by Tees Valley Wildlife Trust to inform visitors about Bolckow and Vaughan and the Church of St. Cuthbert.

Funding for the project came from the Impetus Environmental Trust, Middlesbrough Freemasons and local Community Councils.
